Any chance of getting a small sample of the leather? I need to choose between the gray and the silver, and from the photo, I can't tell if the gray has a "blue" cast to it>

Asked by: DuneMom
We do not have samples available.

I have the same question re P65 warning.  I don’t find any helpful information in your (non) answer to an earlier customers question.

Asked by: AnneTC
Please call customer service at 1-800-870-3513 and ask to speak with a Product Specialist.

Could I please get a little more information about the P65 chemical exposure warning in the product information? Is that related to chemical fire retardants or something else? This will be heavily used by children. Thank you!

Asked by: Anna42
A Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is in violation of any product safety standards or other requirements. Even the State of California has stated, 'The fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe.' Garnet Hill is fully compliant with Proposition 65 and is committed to providing only high quality and safe products for our customers.

Moroccan Leather Pouf is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 185.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flawed, but beautiful We are pleased with our luscious golden ochre pouf, admired by the few people who have breached our threshold during this lockdown. What other reviewers have noted about the formidable zipper is all true. I taped over it with substantial tape when it first arrived, but the zipper marked our hardwood floor all the same. Now I have sewn a little casing of gold bias tape lined with a small strip of cotton quilt batting. This I slipped over the zipperhead and attached by thread to the zipper so that it would not further mar our flooring. That's a time-consuming bit of trouble for an expensive piece, however gorgeous. Recommending below with reservations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Look Pink I bought the natural, but they look pink. That was the first thing my husband said when they arrived. Also, mine say they are made in the USA, not Morocco. I am fine with that, but I just wonder what else is not accurate about them. Otherwise, they are a great height for resting our feet while sitting on the couch. Not sure why extra shipping, either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look... But...not appropriate for wood floors! There’s a big metal zipper across the bottom which would scratch the bujeezus out of a nice floor. I like the pouf, it’s nicely made with quality materials, but will have to use it in a carpeted room, and not where I’d hoped to have it on my lovely hickory floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I expected Happy with my purchase but disappointed with the price I paid. Saw the same item for MUCH less after I had made my purchase. Oh well, still love Garnet Hill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little item I bought this for my guest room, in lieu of a chair. I purchased the natural color and the look and quality was spot on. My only slight complaint was that it's smaller than I had hoped, a little lower to the ground than expected. I'm still keeping it, though, and am sure I'll find multiple uses for it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost perfect The quality of the poof is undeniable. Our disappointment comes from the fact that, although the photo of the product shows variations in color (we ordered the light brown poof), the one we received has none, which makes it look a lot less authentic and interesting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Color is important. I loved the quality and usefulness of the Moroccan Leather pouf. However I returned it because of the color. If you are looking for a gray-blue pouf, you won't find it in the brilliant Tidal Blue color. I chatted with a representative about the color before purchasing. It is not like the color of the picture on page 101 of the March catalog even though she said it was.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as pictured Happy with quality but the stitching in photo is ivory. The actual item has yellow stitching to match leather. And the zipper which is not mentioned nor shown is very pronounced. Still like and will keep but would’ve appreciated a more accurate description.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful color Bought this for my daughters apartment. Love the color and that its made in the USA but the leather smelled like a chemical plant....need to air it out!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stinky problem I gave this moroccan pouf to my daughter for Christmas. It has a terrible odor....not sure what we are going to do about it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking but... I really like the look of this pouf but the stuffing has an odor that is difficult to overlook.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unsatisfied I bought the Pouf in the Tan color and received the Cocoa color. The item also measures 11.5" high on one end and 12.5" on the other.....it's supposed to be 14". When I tried to exchange, I spent days and days waiting for a response because for some reason you can't receive my emails that everyone else receives without problem. I finally gave up and kept it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Two strikes — color and shape I first purchased the pouf in natural but it was much to pink. Exchanged for white. It’s a bit lopsided — hoping it will straighten out with use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Color not remotely like the picture Ordered color "Natural," which in photo is a warm medium tan, with some nice variety in color among sections. The thing I got is so pale it's nearly white -- cream-colored, I suppose -- and with no variety in shading at all, which makes it plasticky-looking. Now must return this enormous thing -- very very annoyed at company's inaccurate info about color.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dislike the color, light tan is pink I bought the light tan, but it is more of a pale pink, beige color and clashes with everything, wood floors, leather chair, etc.. I’m contemplating exchanging it for natural, but might need some further counseling from Garnet hill as I don’t want to end up with an awful color again. I’m looking for a foot rest for a chair and iris a little big.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Well made, color not as pictured Although this Pouf was well made & novel, the color (orangish) made it look like a pumpkin. So, I returned it...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from REALLY REALLY Bad customer service The pouf had a broken zipper. The return process was painfully lengthy — the customer agents gave contradictory answers all the time and each call takes more than half an hour… This was my worse purchasing experience!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in 2nd Morrocan pouf This is my second pouf purchase. The first one was almost 2 years ago and the pouf has a wonderful authentic leather that has aged beautifully. Unfortunately, the second pouf is in no way the same quality. It is smaller, the zipper has already broke, binding has frayed and the leather is dyed and not authentic. It will not age and have a patina. Greatly disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smells terrible I was very disappointed in this product. I was surprised Garnet Hill would sell something that is clearly poorly made. As soon as I opened the box a terrible smell came out and it has been stinking up my home for weeks now. I contacted customer service and they have been awful. I fear this product has some kind of toxic chemicals in it --DO NOT PURCHASE. And after dealing with customer service i don't recommend dealing with this company at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed The item is pictured so beautifully, but in reality, it came misshapen, lumpy, the leather crinkled, and not pulled evenly, smoothly and firmly around the stuffing. I would have returned it, but it is too heavy for me to handle, repackage, and send back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Leather was rough and center medallion was way off center. Returned item.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smells weird Looks great but had a strange odor when I opened the package. It hasn’t gotten any better and smells like something is rotting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was so excited to finally purchase. Arrived, although the web photo reveals two tone color top, mine was uniform, it was the "natural color" that I ordered. Then I turned it over--found a spot, the leather was significantly lighter, looked like some may have dripped on it, causing the discoloration. It was unsightly. Also, tag of origin STUCK with adhesive to leather. Carefully pulled tag--corner pulled off leather. If you are thinking of using on wood floor--think again--has zipper and metal shank level at bottom, so will damage floor. Not optimal construction for all floor types. When I called GH, the agent said the "spot" was a natural flaw in leather, but it appeared more like a spill rather than processing variation, so back it went. This had the potential to be the right combination for my room. I was disappointed with the monochromatic tone when clearly the photo shows otherwise. Perhaps others received their product more like the photo but the zipper on bottom--a no go for my wood floors.
