Rough not percale smooth
Both of my sons have these sheets on their beds. The sheets I recently bought do not feel like their sheets. My sheets are rough and not at all "percale" like. Did Garnet Hill change vendors?

Not the same - rough
I have been a huge Garnet Hill percale sheet fan for years and these are definitely not like any of the others I’ve ever purchased. I am hoping with more washings they will get softer but really really disappointed so far.

Not Up to Standard
I am usually a huge fan/consumer of Garnet Hill's organic cotton percale sheets. But the most recent set I bought are terrible. Thick, scratchy, below par. Not sure why the change but hopefully it will get addressed by GH.

Needs heavy ironing
I’d forgotten how cotton wrinkles so much after washing and that a strong and hot steam iron is necessary to make a smooth fabric. I’d not buy them again. Too much work.

Very Disappointed!
I ordered this in the clay color which I love. I read the other reviews and most of the complaints I saw were 1 - how much they wrinkled which did not bother me since they are cotton sheets & I would expect that 2 - they were not soft enough. This is a matter of personal preference and because I prefer crisp, cool sheets this was actually a plus for me. Apparently I did not read all of the reviews because I absolutely agree with those who describe them as rough and scratchy. If my husband hadn't already been asleep I would have changed the sheets. I'm not super picky about sheets be these really felt awful to me. I also noted that the reviews are listed by the ratings given. All the 5 star reviews are listed first and then it goes down from there. This was another reason I didn't see the poorer reviews - I didn't read through all of them. I think that's a very sneaky way to list the reviews. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because when I called they kindly said that they would reimburse me for the return postage.

Would not buy
I bought these sheets in sky blue, but it’s more silvery. Weren’t initially soft, but hoping they would wash up nicely. They did not and are not very soft. Would not buy again.

Gorgeous Colors - But Terrible Texture!
I loved the colors of both the sky blue and straw sheet sets I bought but sleeping on them literally feels like sleeping under a brown paper grocery sack! I thought they would soften with washing, but it almost seems to get worse! The material has such an abrasive, rough feel! So disappointing!

organic percale bedding
I recently purchased the sky blue bedding and was deeply disappointed. The color is more gray than blue and the sheets after washing are so wrinkled that I had to iron. Not a chore I look forward to.

Poor Quality
I’ve bought sheets from Garnet Hill for 20 years now. Over the last 5-8 years I have noticed my sheets tearing hear and there. I assumed something was left in the washer that damaged them or attributed it to our dogs. However, I ordered a these cotton percale sheets and after only 1? 2? years, my fitted sheets have developed multiple small tears in the sheeting. I was my sheets separately and have two sets and our dogs no longer sleep with us. I think I have to just accept that the quality of bedding from this brand has become so poor that purchasing from them is a waste of money. Cotton percale should last decades not years. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this same issue?

This is not what I expected. These sheets feel rough and get hot. I have been getting Garnet Hill percale sheets for a couple of decades now and up until now they have been amazing. They used to ge crisp and cool. We didn’t even mind how they would wrinkle coming off the cloths line or dryer. It was part of owning such fantastic sheets. Wouldn’t have slept on anything else. I bought 2 sets of these for a Christmas gift for us and am so so disappointed. I am a paycheck to paycheck local so I had to save and hit the sale to afford these. This will be the last time I get our sheets from here

Not the crisp cool sheets I was looking for
Very unhappy with this king size sheet set. I was trying to order COOL CRISP sheets, but could not figure out which they were on the website so ordered these hoping they were the ones. These are definitely not what I expected, and also they are way too wide for my bed, so they donʻt fit nice and snug.

Poor quality rough fabric
I purchased a set of sheets and pillow cases and was unpleasantly surprised by how poor the quality was. (I've gotten better sheets elsewhere for a fraction of the cost!) The fabric truly feels like sandpaper-- rough and just uncomfortable! I tried washing and it didn't soften at all. I do appreciate that even though I'd washed the sheets, Garnet Hill allowed me to return. I do NOT recommend buying these sheets!

Like Sandpaper!!
What a disappointment! I cannot believe that there are people who awarded these rough raspy sheets four or five stars. I love crisp percale sheets, but these are truly like sleeping between sheet of fine sandpaper. Did I receive a pair of "lemon" sheets?! They are absolutely awful - definitely not up to Garnet Hill's former (?) quality standards. I am going back to my American grown, woven, and fabricated percale brand. More expensive, but truly crisp and smooth as percale should be. Also, the color is much more gray than blue. Not bad, but maybe a "Cloudy" Sky Blue. Now what do I do with new sheets that guarantee insomnia? I don't think the dog would sleep on them!! Just a waste on money. Shame on you, Garnet Hill for offering such an inferior product.

Hoping for more
I am an essential worker and I worked through the pandemic so I got a tiny 300.00 bonus and I bought myself some sheets. Well the sheets are scratchy and super thin. I even tried washing with fabric softener. Nope.Additionally very dull colors. So my hard earned bonus was wasted and I am feeling foolish.

Terrible quality
These were the worst sheets I've purchased. I'm a huge fan of percale and only buy percale sheets. These were rough and unbearably scratchy even after washing. Initially stiff is ok, but they should never be scratchy. They should have a zero-star option for these.

They don't last
My grandmother has passed down cotton sheets to a third generation, still in great shape. I have purchased several percale sheet sets from GH, including a down comforter cover, and all have ripped within a few years. I probably haven't even washed mine as often as my grandmother did. I love their feel but it definitely hasn't been a good investment--and these were a splurge for me. I will buy my cotton sheets somewhere else from now on.

beautiful color faded immediately
Extremely disappointed. In the first cool water wash of the duvet, the color faded and no longer matches the lovely color of the pillow cases and fitted sheets not yet washed. What a shame

I ordered Queen sized fitted and normal sheets for my full size mattress/bed. That usually means there is sufficient depth on the fitted sheet. After laundering I could not put the fitted sheet on the mattress at all. It was very short so I called Customer Service and was told that indeed the Queen is extra small. I returned the sheets.

Not percale
Percale bedding is smooth and crisp. These sheets are rough and sticky. Overpriced. Garnet Hill made a much better product before this one that they must have canceled due to price. What a shame. I really liked those sheets.
