Does this bed accommodate both a king-size mattress and box springs? Would it matter if the box springs were divided into two twin box springs?
Yes, this bed requires both a mattress and box spring. Because it is a slat system, the bed can accommodate twin box springs.

Can the new Shaker 4 poster bed in size King Accommodate Adjustable Bed Bases & Mattress'? I have 2 Sets of Twin XL Adjustable Bedbases & Mattress', that when installed together, makes a King Size Bed. Pls advise & thank you, Cindy

Exactly Like the Picture
Beautifully made. Color of wood and quality looks just like the picture. Very happy with it. Looks quietly classy in the bedroom. I would suggest a bit sturdier wrapping for shipment - the box was falling apart by the time it got to us. The bed was not damaged. Also - maybe an instruction sheet? It took us a minute of looking at the little blocks of wood included to figure out that they were to be screwed to the middle underneath the slats that support the mattress. AND - one of them was stained while the others weren't. Another minute to figure out that the stained one should be the one closest to the foot board because you can actually see that one from certain angles. This turned out to be a great purchase, considering we never saw it in person before it arrived.
