Love the Firm Fill
As a side and back sleeper I ordered both the firm and the medium. The firm came first and it was great. When the medium came it seemed very flat, almost like no pillow at all. I can’t imagine what the soft would be like. I exchanged for another firm and couldn’t be happier with this pillow. It is soft but supportive. Sore neck problems are gone!

Exactly what I'd hoped for
This is my iconic down pillow. After reading far too many reviews, I've determined that many people don't understand how down feels. They complain about "flattening" because the feeling of sinking into it is so different from what one feels when lying on a synthetic pillow.

Firm Standard Size
I wanted to reject this pillow on the first night because it was "too firm" and is expensive. I used my brain and not my emotional reaction, and I tried it. Several weeks have now passed and this pillow is softly firm and supportive. Neck issues from side sleeping are no longer a concern. So for now, I love the pillow. The true 5 star rating should be reserved for 1 year from now. But, I do depend on this lovely pillow now, so, 5 stars.

Just the right poof!
My neck is so happy with this pillow. I was initially hesitant to purchase this pillow as I was concerned it would be too poofy. Well, it is very poofy but magically moves to exactly where you need it to be. The quality of the pillow is fantastic, and my other pillows are quite envious of their swanky new neighbor. The material on the pillow is tight so the down doesn't seep through. I was really happy to see that the down is certified to be sourced humanely and ethically as that was non-negotiable criteria on my shopping list.

Good quality
The white geese down pillow is very soft, feels full and has a tightly woven cotton pillow case. I only had it for a week and like it so far. I also like that I don’t smell the down

A down pillow with plenty of loft
I sleep on my side or on my back. The STANDARD FIRM pillow provides excellent loft for SIDE sleeping. However on my back this loft is too high for my neck, so I just ordered the same goose down pillow in MEDIUM loft, standard for BACK sleeping. Finding the right pillow is a lot of trial and error. So you need to consider the firmness of your bed to start your pillow finding process. When we upgraded from a soft mattress to a medium firm mattress, we needed to change our pillows. Of note: The pillowcase protectors offered by Garnet Hill in standard size barely fit the medium firm pillow. I will be looking for alternative case protectors.

Like a cloud
Just what I was hoping for in a down pillow--luxuriously soft, light, and cradling, but with plenty of support. I got the firm, am a side-sleeper, and was previously using a foam pillow.

Best Pillow Ever!
I generally hate buying a new pillow because it is so frustrating to find one that meets my needs and I've wasted $ on numerous purchases. I am a side sleeper, goose down guy and this pillow is the best I've owned! Originally purchased the king/medium fill, returned and got the firm fill. Free exchange was easy and from night one, this pillow has been a joy! Aftere several weeks it is as fluffy as it arrived. I really feel it has improved my sleep quality.

very happy so far
I am a side sleeper and it seems all the pillows I get (that are recommended for side sleepers) are either too hard and firm, or start out good but then go too flat and can't be fluffed up to what they once were. So far, a couple months into using this one, it is the perfect blend of supportive and yet still soft. No feather poking through yet...

Really an excellent pillow
I purchased two king-sized pillows as I have been looking for really a great pillow for our bed. I sleep mostly on my side and stomach so got the medium and got the same for my husband. They are simply wonderful. Extremely well made, always fluff-up well and what I really love is that when I sleep, the part my head is not touching doesn't puff up and touch my face. I am sorry that someone gave this pillow a rating of 1, I understand that maybe the weight was a mistake, but why not just return that one to Garnet Hill and have them ship you out the right one. I can assure you the pillow actually is a 5 star!!

Perfect Pillow
I'm in love with this pillow! It was a splurge, no doubt, but I finally bit the bullet during the bedding sale because my old pillow (from another manufacturer) was too soft and had lost all its loft, causing me to wake up many times a night to squeeze and plump it back up. I was debating whether to get the soft fill or medium fill because I love to sleep on my stomach but also switch to my sides and back throughout the night. I went with the medium in King size and it's perfect. Soft enough for stomach sleeping but enough support for side or back. The cotton is smooth and soft; the fill feels like a cloud. I'm a petite woman so any more fill would be too much for me. It did take about a week to get used to the firmer support, but now that I have, I'm in love. So happy I made the investment in a good night's sleep. I'm no longer waking up throughout the night to adjust my pillow. Only wish I had purchased it sooner! This pillow is a dream. If you've been on the fence, go for it. You won't regret it.

Well worth the investment. Be sure to buy the damask covers to protect the pillows....you will have them a lifetime. Gorgeous! Wonderful just right support...not too firm and not too soft.

Finally, the perfect pillow.
My husband and I have tried so many darn pillows, it's embarrassing. I decided to splurge on this pillow knowing that Garnet Hill is and has been the best place to buy bedding or anything else they sell. Thank you for making me right. This pillow has the right loft for side sleeping or when I do turn onto my back, it fits to me perfectly. What ever my position may be, it is very comfortable. It's nice to relax on my favorite pillow.

Great pillow
Truly great pillow but not my perfect pillow. I adore down pillows and will pay almost anything for a great one. I do like it better than the GH signature down pillows which I have frequently purchased in the past. They start great but get flat quickly. We will see how this one holds up. My head sinks in the right amount although it’s not quite as soft as I like. Maybe soft density would be better. I purchased medium density.

Which is which??
This is the my third time ordering these pillows--which is a big expense for pillows. I finally got one with enough support for my head. I don't understand why the firmness is not labeled on the pillows so you know which one is which. My new one, a firm, it is very obvious because of the height, but my other ones look so similar I can not tell them apart.

Nice pillows but go with firm version
These seem to be great pillows but I am exchanging my medium for a firm and hopefully will be just right. But they are very soft and would not recommend the soft to anyone. The fill compresses down a lot when being used so they become very flat with head pressure. They do keep their shape however and appears that quality is good.

Sleeping on a slice of baloney.
It’s ok, but the medium density seems to be too flat and I find myself having to bunch it up to get any kind of support. I bought a king size, so if I stuff it into a standard pillow case, it should be better. It’s like sleeping on a slice of baloney now though. Oh well. That’s was my fault I suppose.

This is the third pillow of this style I have bought, the second time as a gift. Always pleased EXCEPT this most recent time. There was much less filler and the pillow was almost immediately soft and lumpy. I will look elsewhere in the future for a pillow as I am very disappointed.

Not really a firm pillow.
Well-constructed, but does not have enough down to provide support to the head and neck, as a firm pillow would be expected to do.. It arrived in a big, crushed carton which was open on the corners, exposing the corners of the pillow (shippers' fault). Generally good quality. I would like to see an "extra firm" produced.

Don't waste your money, not as advertised (firm)
I bought a Medium and Firm pillow for myself and my wife. On receiving the order I noticed that the two fill levels felt the same. On checking the tag on the pillows both the Firm and the Medium pillow indicate only 16oz of fill, and not the 20oz of fill advertised for the firm pillow.
The two pillows also weight the same when measured on a scale accurate to 1/10th of a gram. For $50 more Garnet Hill is profiting by selling mislabeled goods.
