Absolutely perfect!
Took a chance on this as it's new and there were no reviews. But I loved the caramel color and pattern. So glad I did! It's just gorgeous and really, really well made. It's a perfect weight, not heavy, but not light. It gives you a sense of being tucked in in a free-moving way. Hope that makes sense. I abhor being weighed down by a quilt, but also want to feel "protected." This is it. It's just perfect. And it's beautiful. The pictures are good representations. In a big beige, off white bedroom, it's glorious. Earthy feeling. Really well stitched. Drapes just right. And doesnt slide around. Highly recommend!

Colors in the quilt didn't work.
The quilt was nicely made, but I had to send it back. The colors didn't work with paint color of the bedroom.

Super cozy but fragile
I love this quilt: fabric is luscious (feels very soft & weight is perfect) and the print is what I have been looking for. I only have one complaint... the tacking stitches are made with a thread that is very fragile. Just the regular handling of the quilt breaks the threads. I love the feel and print so much I will just endure all the broken threads... hopefully the texture will remain even after many threads have broken. It is too bad considering the cost of quilt... but I have had some cozy summer sleeping and imagine I will do so for years to come!

BEAUTIFUL BUT FRAGILE
I absolutely love the texture and colors of the Odette Bed quilt. It warms up the bedroom without looking like a redeux of the eighties.
That said the hand quilting stitching is quite fragile and seems to be of a light cotton thread. I must take great care NOT pulling the quilt up too vigorously when making the bed. I noticed an area near the floor 😳 where a thread has broken. How that happened I do not know as it is in an area most undisturbed. I hope this will hold up as I really do love it. I’m hoping it is not just a flat quilt with the quilting stitches all broken in a few months. I have only had it on my bed less than a month.

Beautiful quilt/spread
Quilt is lovely and sturdy (we have a dog that does turn down service for us and the quilt has held up even though she has probably broken some quilt threads). However, the length is too short! We do not have a deep mattress, but it does not cover the foot of the mattress at the footboard. I cannot imagine the gap for those with deep mattresses. Side width material is fine. The pattern and color are beautiful. It is a very calming color and pattern. I had to wash it 3 times to get a strong chemical smell subdued even though "organic." It is of substantial heft and comfy. I am very glad I bought it, but thankfully, I don't have a deep mattress.

A beautiful quilt
I bought this quilt in the green color and I really like it. The only thing I worry about is the top stitching. Every time I make the bed I hear a few of the stitches pop or break. This is an expensive item so I am hoping that it will last a long time without looking bad because of ripped out stitching. Otherwise it is lovely. It is plenty warm on a cold night and easier to make up than a duvet.

Beautiful but no hints of blue
Beautiful quilt in caramel, but based on the photos, I thought that there was a bit of slate blue in the quilt. The color is actually a somber green along with some accents in the pattern of light sage green. It won't work in the room I bought it for, but I will use it in a guest room instead.

The Odetta floral quilt and sham
Love the quilt and shams, the quality of the fabric, how well constructed and stitching. Only negative I have is that the quilt had an oily smell. I hung out side for over a week and it did not help. I finally had to wash it. First time just laundry detergent and it helped a little. Rehashed it and used a product that is used to sanitize and kill orders it worked. I had contacted Garnet Hill and that had agreed if I washed and still had the odor I could return. Which I am very pleased they would stand behind their products A+ for them. It took a lot of effort to solve the issue, there fore I don’t know if it is truly worth the price it is listed for. The quilt held up nicely to the washing and I hung to dry.

Lightweight Heat Balancing Comfortable
Not too hot not too cold. Really love the coverlet. Every time I pull it to adjust the placement or sit down on it I feel little threads break. It might end up being a significant flaw if it starts looking bad too soon. I really like it, so for now I’m keeping it.

Almost perfect
This quilt is beautiful. Soft, lovely belt weight and texture. Interesting edging and reverse in a tiny contrasting gingham. It retains a bit of an odor from the dyes if you don’t wash it it before use. Also, need to be gentle with it. Pulling it up to make the bed will pop some of the quilting stitches.

Color of backing was off but I liked it anyway
I bought this quilt loving the pink and blue color scheme that appeared in the photo. After I took it out of the box I saw that the backing of the quilt was actually an amber brown color which isn't what I wanted. However, the front blue print was lovely, and I ended up keeping it. I would suggest that the photo I saw does not represent the true colors of the product. And brown and blue are an odd color combination, one that needs a neutral sheet, while I wanted to do this with light blue sheets. So I would say I recommend it but be sure you know what colors you are getting. It's good quality and the blue side is pretty.

Nice looking
I just received the Odette quilt in the sage color. The quilt is not as pictured online. For example, both the quilt and the standard shams are trimmed in a peachy/orangey checked gingham which carries over to the reverse side of both. Online, it looks like the reverse is a nice solid peach. The gingham check makes this quilt much more casual and probably not quite right for the master bedroom. It might work well for a teen's room or maybe the guest room.
Additionally, the quilting on ALL parts of the quilt and shams is done with green thread. To me this means that there is a cheap look to the reverse side of this bedding with the green thread running through the peach gingham. However, I don't consider the price of this bedding cheap and didn't expect marginal quality. So I'd say the quilt is OK but not quite what I was looking for. Again, I'd recommend for a teen's room or a guest room.

All great except for odor
Beautiful lightweight quilt, but arrived with significant petroleum-like odor, presumably from processing to ensure fire resistance etc. We washed at least a dozen times and hung outside in the sun but some of this scent remains. Since others have not complained about this, I'm thinking this may be an uncommon issue.

Beautiful Quilt w/ Strange Smell
Beautiful quilt that has a handmade, vintage appearance. The fabric is soft & lends itself to being folded at the end of the bed in a layering piece. The issue is, it has a weird chemical, almost petroleum smell that we can't seem to remove, despite laundering. It's heartbreaking, that such a lovely piece of bedding was manufactured in such a way, to leave a residue of toxic odor.

Not what I expected, but nice quality
I was expecting a quilt with brighter colors and more gold...what I received was muted colors, with a brown background and a touch of gold in the flower print. The quality is very nice and I will keep the quilt but, just wish the photos were more accurate in color.

Lovely, but . . .
Waited months and months for Odette in caramel. It's lovely, but the odor is very strong. I washed and line dried it outside on a clothesline for several days, and the odor persists. Might someone suggest something to soak or spray on this quilt to lessen the odor please, and thank you?

Sage color not at all as pictured
This is a well made quilt. However, the color is not at all as pictured. It is not a beautiful blue-sage, but rather a sad faded sage. Also, the pattern is more distinct than pictured, and full of browns and yellows, not terracotta/peaches. The overall effect is then, not at all as pictured. Lots of people say, different monitors, different colors, but after taking a consensus amongst 16 friends, all using different phones and different laptops, we agree, the "sage" is not at all the same colors in person as the picture leads you to believe

Bad chemical smell
The quilt is very attractive and finally smells ok, but if I’d known how hard it was to get the smell out I wouldn’t have kept it in the first place. It took weeks of alternating between laying it outside in the sun to outgas during the daytime and washing it in the machine.

Odd odor, easily broken threads
The quilt was beautiful and I loved the color combination. However, it had an odd, unpleasant odor, and threads were easily broken even with gentle movement/tugging of the quilt. I returned the first one I purchased, hoping to receive a more acceptable quilt. However, the second replacement quilt had the exact same problems. So both quilts were returned.

Beautiful quilt, terrible smell
I may have just gotten unlucky but the quilt I received had a strong sharp smell my husband found intolerable. Airing it for several days didn't help so back it went. I love the fabric and pattern, though, so am reordering in hopes of receiving a quilt without the odor. Fingers crossed.

Want this quilt to work from
Both quilts are beautiful but...
I first bought the light blue quilt and then returned it for the caramel color. With both, I will say that the fabric/print is beautiful. However, the colors online are more saturated than the quilt in person. The warm, golden caramel is more of a warm tan/brown, and the blue colorway was a very faded light blue in person.
Also, with both quilts the stitching on the batting is basically the same as baste stitching, for those familiar with sewing. This means the stitches are long and loose, and like other reviewers have noted, even laying (not shaking, not tossing) the quilt out flat on the bed results in snapping and popping of stitches.
It's a BEAUTIFUL quilt if you set your expectations about the color discrepancy - but I am also definitely going to give it 90 days and see how it performs.

Stitching pops/breaks upon laying out on bed.
I just unbagged this quilt on a King size. While laying it over bed, I heard snapping... continued hearing during the laying out process and upon closer inspection could see lots of broken threads. It’s going back... disappointing!
