Garnet Hill becomes the largest purveyor of organic cotton in the U.S. by partnering with Green Cotton® Group, a Danish company that is at the forefront of vertical organic-cotton production.
1997
The family expands again.
Garnet Hill is purchased by International Cornerstone Brands, a portfolio of some of the best catalog brands in America, including Ballard Designs, Frontgate, and Grandin Road.
2000
We enter the world of dot-com.
Garnet Hill launches garnethill.com, our first e-commerce site, which allows us to offer more ways to shop and experience our original designs.
2001
Our partnerships grow.
We introduce our collaboration with Hable Construction®. The whimsical collection includes appliquéd wool-felt pillows, holiday stockings, and decorative accessories, all made by a Hungarian women’s cooperative.
2003
A favorite sleepwear style is created.
Our best-selling Asian Wrap Organic-Cotton Pajamas are introduced and quickly become an iconic design for Garnet Hill, with new colorful prints added every season.
2008
We express our dedication to making a difference.
Garnet Hill formalizes its philanthropic efforts by supporting our first national cause, the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign. Employees also help open Copper Cannon, a New Hampshire summer camp that serves children whose families cannot afford camp.
2009
We launch the Dream Quilt.
Garnet Hill introduces this hand-crafted all-cotton quilt style. It continues to be one of our best-selling quilts to this day.
2015
Our second home opens.
A second facility, comprising offices and a photo studio, is added in the seacoast area of Exeter, NH.
2017
Innovation with natural fibers continues.
TENCEL™ Lyocell, sustainably sourced from wood pulp, is introduced in our clothing collection. It becomes a popular fabric choice for jackets, knit dresses, tops, skirts, and pants.
2018
We commit to long-term sustainability.
Garnet Hill joins the Textile Exchange, a global non-profit that drives positive action on climate change in the fashion and textile industries. This starts our journey to certify fibers and products using third-party standards to provide transparency.
