The Flannel GuideFrom relaxed linen to American-grown Supima® cotton, we use only the finest fibers — and all our bedding is thoughtfully designed and responsibly sourced to make every style special. Our sheets feature the industry’s top certifications, like Certified EUROPEAN FLAX® and Certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, to make them the best in class.
Thread count is the sum of vertical and horizontal threads woven into a square inch of fabric — the higher the thread count, the tighter the weave. Yes, it’s important, but higher doesn’t always mean better. Higher, tightly woven thread counts create warmer, smoother sheets with a buttery softness, while looser weaves are cooler and have a wonderfully relaxed look and feel. At Garnet Hill, our design team works closely with skilled weavers to carefully pair the right construction and thread count with every style of percale and sateen in our bedding collection so you can have the best options for a great night’s sleep.
If you love classic styling with a crisp feel, you’ll love percale sheets. They’re an ideal choice for people who like to sleep in a cool bed, providing exceptional breathability and softness. Sateen sheets have a rich, luxuriously smooth feel right out of the packaging. Though this bedding is still airy and breathable, it has a tighter weave, so it tends to be a touch warmer when you climb into bed. The weave also gives this bedding a subtle luster.

Shop nowWe recommend washing your sheets once a week. Wash them in warm water and dry them on a low-heat setting. High temperatures can damage the fibers and result in your bedding wearing faster. We love line drying whenever the weather permits it. Sunlight is a natural sanitizer and can help make your whites even whiter. When we do throw bedding in the dryer, we like skipping the dryer sheets and using dryer balls to increase the airflow. This will help reduce drying time, static, and wrinkles.
