The Flannel Guide: Finding the right flannel for you
It all began with a quest for the very best...
Our story began in 1973 when our founders returned from a trip to Europe with an English cotton flannel sheet, soon realizing that this exceptional quality couldn’t be found in the U.S. They wanted to provide that same comfort for those they cared about, and so the seed was sown for what would later become America’s original natural fibers company.
Today, the goodness of the fabric prevails, and we offer several flannel fabrications to help customize your comfort and provide a warm night’s sleep. And rest assured, all our thoughtfully designed flannel is gently brushed multiple times on both sides by skilled artisans for exquisite softness and is certified to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®.

Our flannel is brushed multiple times on both sides by skilled craftspeople for an exquisite finish. The brushing technique creates fine fibers from the woven yarns, giving it extra softness and thickness. Unlike other types of sheets, flannel sheets are measured by weight instead of thread count. Measured in ounces per square yard, the weight gives you an indication of the durability and warmth of the bedding. The higher the number, the better quality — and warmer the flannel.
